Prior to Davis Projects, Alex Davis co-founded Trade Architects, an architecture and interiors firm based in Richmond, Virgina and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Trade’s body of work is particularly strong in high-end residential and boutique hospitality work. The new practice brings continued focus on well-executed and carefully considered building design.
Our process centers on close collaboration with clients, exploring how their interests and objectives can take root in a place and develop into a cohesive, three-dimensional vision. A core belief of the firm is that great architecture should serve as the backdrop for meaningful experience—not the focus—and should look for ways to reflect the proportions and materials of its context with subtlety, beautiy, and at times, a healthy dose of playfulness.
Alex Davis is a licensed architect in Florida, Maryland and Virginia and the founder of Davis Projects. He received a B.A. in Architecture from University of Florida (2009) and an M.Arch from Pratt Institute (2013). Prior to founding Davis Projects, Alex co-found Trade Architects and held an Associate position at ARCHITECTUREFIRM in Richmond, Virginia. In New York, Alex worked as a designer for Harrison Atelier and aa64, and held an adjuct teaching position at Pratt Institute.
Davis Projects is always seeking out new opportunities and new industry relationships.
